What internship did you choose, and what were your responsibilities?
I was a Digital Communications intern at Madeo, a digital design studio that "blurs the lines between outside consultants and in-house teams." At Madeo, I was responsible for analytics tracking for our clients, form generation, content management and blog writing.
How did this experience helped you grow as a person and as a professional?
Without a doubt or any sense of hyperbole, the New York City internship program was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Being in the largest city in the United States, surrounded by some of the most innovative, intellectual people in the world with your sole task to learn as much as possible is a genuine gift that should not be passed up. The city and all its opportunities could seem overwhelming, but luckily you'll have guides in the wonderful Reuben Stern and the countless stream of Mizzou Alumni who he'll introduce you to. Each week, you're introduced to someone new who will inspire you and offer to help to lift you up. Having this buffet of opportunity and inspiring individuals helped me learn how to truly network with other people and never to let an opportunity pass me.
