What internship did you choose, and what were your responsibilities?
CBS News in New York City selected me to be a National Desk intern. I kept tabs on national news throughout my shift, often pitching stories or making calls to follow up on breaking news. I monitored Twitter and went through outlets looking for stories that CBS may find worthy of its website. I also had the opportunity to work with other interns on a 3 minute package on North Philadelphia that we wrote, tracked, filmed and anchored.
What was your favorite thing about your internship?
I had the opportunity to meet incredible people including 60 Minutes producers, CBS anchors, and most importantly the other interns. I'm still very close with my internship project group.
Describe your NYC experience in 3 words.
Challenging, enlightening, maturing.
